Hello my name is Fallon Murphy, and I am the 2009-2010 Fairfield County Arctic Ambassador for the Gault-Polar Bears International (PBI) Alliance. As the Arctic Ambassador, it’s my job to educate young families about global warming and the plight of the polar bear. Last October, I attended PBI’s Leadership Camp, where I joined 16 of my peers from around the world in the Arctic to study polar bears in their native habitat alongside PBI scientists, photographers and educators.


In future blog posts, I hope to disseminate information about why the Arctic ice is melting, the impact this has on the polar bears, and what we can do about it here at home.
